New for Fall 2011!  Tisano has rediscovered the lost indigenous tradition of creating a beverage from the cacao pod shell.  This patent pending Organic Chocolate (Cacao) Tea will introduce you to a rich and flavorful "tea" to be enjoyed by modern day chocolate and tea lovers.  This is not chocolate flavored tea, but a "real" tea brewed from shells of the cacao pod, bringing with it many of the health benefits of dark chocolate.  It has become a Natural Health Advocates family favorite!

Born out Tisano's desire to make use of the plentiful "by product" of chocolate processing,  they experimented with various food uses before discoverinig the awesome chocolate aroma of the brewed infusion.  The delicate and smooth flavor convinced them to share their discovery with the world.  And we are glad they did!  And if you want to derive even greater health benefits from your chocolate tea, eat the brewed shells.  They are an excellent source of fiber (80% insoluble, and 20% soluble), as well as magnesium, potassium, vitamin D (a rare food source), polyphenols, etc.  If you can't bring yourself to eating the shells, please compost. 

The tea can be enjoyed by itself, or blend with your favorite tea or coffee.  Great hot or chilled down, with or without milk or alternative non dairy beverages.  Be creative!
